Open Doors Dance Festival is a summer dance intensive and festival located in Iowa City, Iowa. It is open to serious-minded students ages 9-22, preparing them for the next step in their dance education or their career.
With three full weeks of classes, Open Doors gives students an opportunity to study with some of the world's most prolific dance professionals. Open Doors also offers a part-day option for ages 9+.
Open Doors has served as a stepping stone for serious dance students looking to make the jump into pre-professional or professional programs all over the country. The connections students have made with faculty at Open Doors have proved invaluable, leading students to some of the most respected names in the industry, including The Juilliard School, Martha Graham Dance Company, the School of American Ballet, Radio City Rockettes, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Joffrey Ballet, Ballet West, Houston Ballet, Oklahoma City Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Florida State University and Point Park University.
